Intellectual Honesty
I had an interesting series of communications today. I've always been the first person to admit if I don't know where I stand on something. I made a promise on this issue and I don't intent to break it, however...ranting here doesn't break my promise.
I know I'm not forced to converse with the person in question, but I have chosen to because I find the different perspective on some things interesting.
It really irks me when someone has issues with something and isn't honest enough with themselves to admit it. I've brought up the issue on a couple different occasion to have the person in question get very defensive. I was going to let it go, but the more I thought about it today the more frustrated I got. Then I read something else related to the same issue.
If you truly belief in something, or don't believe in something as the case may be, then be consistent. Otherwise, just admit that you don't know where you stand and admit you do have issues with this subject. It's obvious to me and I'm pretty sure others.
Anyway...rant complete. It's now off my chest.
