Blogging by Candle Light
Aproximately at 7:30pm tonight, our power went out. An under ground power vault exploded, I'm guessing from the rain and flooding that SoCal is experiencing.
Right now, my Treo 650 is my only contact to the outside world. With power down, we have no TV...no internet or computer...can't even do laundry.
I got stir crazy a bit ago and drove around to see what was going on. Our neighborhood block is the farthest east to experience the outage. So basically people just several yards away have power.
Yet another reason why I'm glad I upgraded to this phone. This device has allowed me to call and get updates from DWP, play solitaire and Ms. Pacman, check the internet & write this blog post while listening to music.
Technology rocks. Did I mention that California utility companies suck?
