Happy Thanksgiving 2004!
We still have some hurdles to jump from this difficult past year, but there is still a lot to be thankful for. Those who know our story may understand. I lost my mom and our first baby. The holidays make you reflect and you miss those who have gone on. I'm thankful that I believe that I will someday meet them again.
So from my house to yours, be thankful and have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

A month, a week, a day?
How long should I leave my Bush links and logos up? I voted, he won, we celebrated, now what? Don't get me wrong, I'm still very happy, just wondering what the protocol is...if there is a protocol.
Side note: there is a crusade by some to nominate bloggers as Time's person(s) of the year. Well, wouldn't that be a kick...hmmm.

Following suit
I've held off as long as possible, but I get way more SPAM comments than I do regular commentors.
Excuse stated, I've turned off the "unregistered" comments preference. You now have to register with TypeKey, which is FREE, to comment on my blog.
Go to http://www.typekey.com to register.
Thanks.

Egg-sausage
I'm tired. I've been going a mile a minute for about two or three solid weeks with some projects at work. The election being right in the middle of it didn't help either.
I'm hoping to be able to take an extra day off this week, but not likely. Maybe I can get some extra sleep sometime.

Dude, what's with all the ads?
It's true, I have to pay money to myself for hosting this site.
I've been ad free on all my sites until now, not on purpose though. I just haven't ever got around to it.
I don't know if I'll keep this many, but let's call it an experiment for now.

That's my President!
His speech was very articulate and hopefully all people will help in the healing of our nation.

Give John Kerry some credit.
It looks like John Kerry learned a lesson from Al Gore. Don't fight it, just admit defeat.
For that, I respect him.
Now say it with me...
Four more years! Four more years!
Popular and Electoral Vote.
The Legitimate President!
George W. Bush

Doh! I'll be up all night at this rate.
John Edwards just gave a very short speech.
"We promised to fight for every vote to count."
Translation: We are going to kick and scream as our political careers spiral out of control quicker than Howard Dean or Al Gore.

Okay, one more.
Michael Moore, where are you?
He's probably hanging out with his friend Osama.
I still haven't ever watched one of his films. I'm so proud of myself.

I'm Calling It...
Following Drudge...and basically following NBC and FOX...
Bush wins!!!
Even with 269 to 269, Bush will win from a vote in the House of Representatives.
Thank you and goodnight. Tip your waitress.
I probably won't post more here tonight, unless something MAJOR happens. I'll still be over at the post for a while.

No Surprises in California
Leading off, Kerry takes California and Boxer retains her seat...so far. Still a lot of votes to be counted.
Estimates on California issues look like this:
Prop A has majority, but needs 2/3rds.
Prop O will pass.
Prop 68 will fail.
Prop 70 will fail.
Prop 71 will pass.
Prop 72 too close at this point

Just about there...
My redesign (or more accurately tweak of the 3.0 default style) is just about complete...and just in time. I'm working with Command Post to journal the 2004 election as a Southern California affiliate.
Check out the coverage here. It's up and running now!
This means I'm back and going full force now!
