Catching up...
The wife has a friend coming to visit from Ohio tomorrow. Been cramming in cleaning and organizing in between work and sleep. As a matter of fact, need more sleep now. Have to be rested for Disneyland and driving up the coast...not to mention the site seeing, etc.
I'm tired-er just thinking about it.

What should I do with my day off?
I can't believe that I actually don't have anything to do today. What should I do? Sleep, maybe. Get in the pool, possibly this afternoon. Do yard work, most definitely not. Catch up on my blog reading, yes.
First off to Wil Wheaton's site. Now most of the time I enjoy Wil's take on things, but he is often negative and jaded from an industry that has treated him poorly. Specifically in this post, Wil refers to an interview he did. I think he is way off base. He goes off on lying, but keeps referring to the New York Times and credible sources. That's pretty funny considering their scandal a while back with plagiarism and just plain making up facts.
Then, I head over to A Small Victory to read about all the reasons why people think that Tenet is leaving the CIA. Some funny stuff.
Then, as I realize I'm hungry...the phone rings. Chris, from work, is outside to pickup the newly burned CD to deliver to the radio station. Well crap, I guess that means I did some work today.
Back to the thought that I'm hungry. What shall I eat? Oh yes. I have my leftovers from last night's tri tip from Rosie's.
...to be continued...

Hot out Herrrrr...
It's warming up for summer in California. We had a hot streak of weather a while back, then it got cold just long enough for our pool temperature to drop down into the 70's. We did use the pool over the holiday weekend, but it was fairly chilly. If we have a few more days of this heat, the pool should get up into the 80's which is perfect. Pool party, anyone?

Dodgers lose, but at least I had good seats

The game was pretty slow until the 6th inning when Milton Bradley, I laugh whenever I say his name, got tossed from the game for talking trash coming up to bat and then going on a rampage.
Anyway, it was a fun release for my wife and I. Tom Hanks and Jennifer Love Hewitt were there. Kristina got more excited about Jack Hayford being there, he wrote the song "Majesty" for those of you that don't know who he is.
For your viewing pleasure, I've included a few photos I snapped below. To view all my shots, go here.
Goodnight and thanks for welcoming me back into my blogdom.

Living a normal American life
I think I'm about ready to start blogging regularly again. The last few months have been a struggle with the loss of our baby and my mom's surgery and now unresponsiveness. I keep trying to get motivated on my blog, even going as far as to upgrade to the new Movable Type 3.0 even though all the kinks aren't worked out for me. Well, I've been working up motivation at home and getting some major projects finished, so gonna keep the ball rolling by adding this to my plate.
So, what do I have to write about now. No new news about my mom, we aren't pregnant again yet, job is still going ok...well?!?
Going to my first Dodger's game tonight. Went to a Clippers game a few months ago, but it's been years since I've been to a professional baseball game. I figure that since baseball is the great American pastime, I will officially declare this as my kick-off back into normalcy.
Dodgers are in first place, which I would like to credit to the fact that I moved out here to Los Angeles, and they are playing the Milwaukee Brewers. I've never been a huge Dodger fan and used to own a Brewers cap because of the logo that looked like a baseball glove made of an "m" and a "b." If you don't realize it at first...my initials are MB. So, I'm a bit torn as to who to root for.
Anyway, at the risk of a full body search, I'm gonna take my camera(s) and snap a few shot to post late tonight or tomorrow. Our seats appear to be pretty good, as they are corporate seats, and I think I'm gonna be right behind home plate. So, if you are home and bored you can watch the game on TV tonight and maybe you will see me. I'll be wearing a red shirt and my green "W'04 Farm-Ranch Team" baseball hat.
