They can't be serious
If you don't think Howard Dean and his supporters are a total joke...read the comments at the following blog post:
Note my comments...if they don't get deleted.

I barely know how to use MovableType but you do know HOW to use it right. I am sorry for my comments.
I am a Moron.

I know it well enough to edit your entry.

What point have I proven? You haven't elucidated much of a point yet. Basically you've resorted to name calling, referring to Dean and his supporters as a joke. I might add you did it in a backhanded way, without coming right out and saying it. Where's your backbone?
In addition, you haven't backed up your roundabout assertion. You haven't said anything about why you feel Dean and his supporters are a joke, only linked to a post on another blog with hundreds of differing comments in it. With which particular content do you find fault?
At least the Club For Growth ad *tried* to present specific evidence for their assertion, albeit manufactured.

I just realized you're not interested in a discussion of any kind, seeing as how you edit other posts at your convenience. You hint at such practices on the Dean blog ("Note my comments...if they don't get deleted"), but you resort to that level on your own blog, so there's nothing to complain about.

Yep, it's my blog. I can edit and delete what I want...just like on the so called "blog for America."
Your comments are my proof of you being way too serious. Thanks again for posting.

I have no idea how to use Trackback, can you tell me?
I'm an Idiot.

I don't understand how your comments illuminate Dean or his campaign as a joke. You first try to spin the ad as just a joke itself, not to be taken seriously. As another person pointed out, they spend their money on that ad for a reason - to attack Dean. It's a stupid ad, and I can see humour in it, but I don't think the Club For Growth meant it to *support* Dean. Do you?
Second, you try to compare it to the so-called "Hitler-Bush" ads at the moveon.org-sponsored contest, BushIn30Seconds. But there's no comparison. BushIn30Seconds is a contest to which anyone could submit ads. So, a few individuals out of hundreds exercised their free speach rights to submit ads that one could say were in poor taste. So what? These ads were not paid for by MoveOn.org, they were not being aired anywhere (in fact, one had to create an account and log in to view them), and they were rejected in due course. (Nevermind that "right-wing" individuals and groups use Hitler comparisons and references to their own purposes all the time).
The difference between the MoveOn-related ads and the Club For Growth ad is obvious. The Club For Growth created and paid for this ad, and is running it now. This is their ad, and they are behind it. It is offensive to the intelligence Iowans and anyone else who views it.
They can run what they want, sure, they have free speech (within the bounds of campaign laws, of course). MoveOn will eventually run their own ad, whichever one is picked, and I support them in that. I don't like some of the top 15 finalists, I find a couple of them almost half as insulting as the Club For Growth ad. But they have the right to say what they want and offend or convert whoever they can just the same as the Club For Growth. And we have the right to respond to the Club For Growth just the same as the Republicans will have their right to respond to the MoveOn ad.
The difference, again, is obvious, however - almost all of the MoveOn ads are based on facts and truth. The Club For Growth is just footage of some guy they paid to say a string of supposedly nasty things about Dean.

Marc - come back to class. George wants to tell you why you really are not better off while he eats his crayons.

Jake, I only use Movable Type...I don't program the code. When someone edits their own posts, it resubmits the Trackback. You obviously don't know what you are talking about.
Adam, thanks for proving my points.
"Special Ed," it's funny how you use a fake name. You must be ashamed to be a supporter of Dean.
