Formal apology
I just read through my last post. Instead of editing through the random zig-zag in my brain activities, I would like to ....

Feels like home
Well, once again good things are on the horizon. I think we have found a church home and the job is going half-way decently. Have I ever mentioned that I didn't do well in English. Anyway.
Kristina made a wonderful baked chicken tonight. We had Gretchen over once again for the grub...and the broadband until her connection gets up on Tuesday. I walked her out to her car a bit ago and got the chills. What is this? I can see my breath?!? Aaahhh...I feel like I'm back home in the midwest. It was just 90 two days ago. California is home now.
I hope this weather helps the firefighters. They are heros and thinking about it kinda makes me think I'm not doing much with myself. It takes an incredible person to put themselves in harm's way to save people. I would hope that should I ever find myself in a situation, I would make myself proud.

another day, another dollar vanished
Okay, yesterday was better day than today, but today wasn't half bad...overall. I was top sales person of the store on Friday. I felt great about that. It is going to be nice to have two days off in a row. My new schedule is in effect and I will be enjoying my Sunday and Monday.
I know this post is pretty random, but I must hurry and fall back. Daylight Savings must go. My home state is about the only one with any sense.

phone technology
I'm playing with my new phone over the internet hardware (SIP) that allows you to make calls on a broadband connection. So far it seems pretty cool. I won't reveal what provider or URL I'm using right now until I work with it some more. I can say that for a low monthly cost, you could very well get rid of you home phone and have this service with unlimited local and long distance calling. In theory, it seems cool...in reality, I haven't had enough time yet.

Blog Laziness
Getting used to a new schedule sucks, especially when it is still changing. My work schedule will probably remain the same for a while now. Off Monday and Sunday starting today. The good thing is that now I have two days in a row. It's a little easier to recuperate with two days together for other stuff.
My sinus infection isn't really helping me be motivated either. I get these things about twice a year. I thought that my problems would go away when I moved to California, but the wackiness to the weather in general could be blamed.
Anywho, I say all this as an excuse as to why I haven't been keeping up with entries. To update, still dieting, still not rich, still expecting to be a daddy, still looking on the bright side of things.
We had a few (small few) friends over on Saturday night which was our first attempt in the house here. We had a good time and my wife made some good stuff, even thought the garlic bread was a little crispy. Gretchen brought a yummy cheesecake and I had one small piece. She's a temptress with that dessert. Kristina also made the chocolate almond pie that is incredible. I'm trying to be good on my diet, but sometimes it is more difficult than others.
I just gotta remember the reasons for dieting in the first place. It will all be alright. It wouldn't be so bad if I could drink my Coca-cola.

lost 10 pounds
Work has been hectic. Drinking lots of water. Eating more times a day and less food each time. No cokes for me.
I wish there was more going on to talk about, but nothing right now.
What can I say, I'm boring.

The Last Supper
For my last meal...before the diet, I had the pleasure of going out with my lovely wife and new dear friend, Gretchen Pirillo. I've known Chris for a bit, but hadn't had the chance to spend much time with her. She is truely a lovely individual and both my wife and I wish to spend more time getting to know her. Also, the cheesecake was pretty good.

OK, here's the skinny
Starting bright and early tomorrow morning I will be on my way to reshaping and losing weight. I will be using Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover Program. Yes, the Michael Thurmond from ABC's Extreme Makeover and trainer to the stars.
Anyway, I stumbled upon this a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna be in an infomercial. We had our first session and taping today. Michael was not what I expected...he was a very nice man and extremely encouraging. The cool part is that I don't have to pay for the program...I actually will make a small bit of money. Because of where I sat, they had the camera on me a lot. Most importantly, I think this is going to work!
There are several reasons why I want to lose weight. Generally, I am a very happy person. Here is the thing, though. With our first child on the way, I want to be in as good a shape as possible.
I will keep updates on here on how I am doing.

Always amazed
Things are going pretty well for us right now. Money is still very tight, but we are both working and all seems to be in order. Everything is going well with the baby it seems.
Anyway, then you are hit by something out of the blue that you don't expect. I can't really say what it is...but it's not anything with me or Kristina. A friend is going through a rough time right now. Still, it was shocking and I can't believe it. I know everything will work out, but you still feel bad.
Sorry for being so mysterious...but after all this blog is for me to just express my thoughts and what not. It's not like anybody is reading this on a regular basis. :)
