Equality for da masses
My last post reminded me of something.
Everybody who knows me knows that I am a Republican, except on some issues. Here is what I don't get about today's idiotic 9th Circuit Court of the United States in San Fransisco, California ruling:
The Democratic Party, the ACLU and Liberals in general say that they are the champions for equality. They make claims of being the "Robin Hoods," if you will, of the poor and minorities.
Doesn't their rationale for the postponement of the recall election contradict that? They argued that voters who are minorities, specifically blacks, latinos, and poor, are not smart enough to understand punch cards. It's funny that these punch cards were good enough to re-elect Gray Davis last year.
The California Constitution makes the recall and date of the election legal. Courts are not supposed to make laws. The 9th District is the most overturned, and clearly Liberal, court by the Supreme Court. Do they realize that they are a joke?
